This is a 16-week position starting on May 5, 2025. The term may extend up to August 31, 2025, offering flexibility to accommodate scheduling needs throughout the summer.

Purpose
As a member of the Operations Division, this position assists field crews with various road maintenance activities.
Duties
- Flagging (traffic control)
- Data entry
- Sign manufacturing
- General manual labour
Health and Safety
Work in accordance with Occupation Health and Safety Act. Complete training as directed by Supervisor(s)
Working Conditions
- Usual hours of work are Monday to Thursday 07:00 am to 4:30 pm (40-hours per week with 0.5-hour unpaid lunch). Occasional overtime.
- Work will be conducted 100% on-site or out of one of the four Area Depots.
- High exposure to weather conditions, machine noise, traffic and other road construction hazards.
Internal/External Working Relationships
Establishes and maintains working relations with Grey County Staff. Represents the County in a courteous and professional manner.
Knowledge and Skill
Currently enrolled in post-secondary education or returning to high school.
Solid work ethic.
Impact of Error
Errors in judgment may jeopardize public and staff safety, lead to inconsistency across the County and may impair sensitive relationships with municipalities and the public.
