We are hiring a Senior Systems Administrator – Azure Cloud, IT!

The Opportunity:

First National Financial has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Administrator in our Infrastructure and Operations team, reporting to Manager, IT Infrastructure & Operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven history in implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and migrating to Azure from on premise.                                                                                 

How you will contribute:

• Maintain our Azure Landing Zone to be compliant and prepared to take on new workloads.
• Installing, configuring and managing Virtual networks, Subnets, DHCP, DNS, Network Security Groups, Load Balancers, application Gateway, and Traffic Manager
• Responsible for monitoring the Azure infrastructure to ensure its availability, performance, and security.
• Implementing and managing Azure backup
• Manage Azure RBAC (role-based access control)
• Implement and manage cloud-based monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud-based infrastructure and services.
• Perform regular maintenance and updates to cloud-based systems to ensure they are secure and up to date.
• Document cloud infrastructure and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

The experience you need:

• Post-Secondary Education in Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline
• 3+ years’ experience with IaaS and PaaS components of Microsoft Azure
• Intermediate to Expert Knowledge in Knowledge of Azure CLI, Powershell, and Bicep
• Azure AD and Active Directory
• Experience deploying infrastructure as code.
• Strong communication skills, planning, organization, documentation, and project management skills
• ITIL Foundations
• Experience working as individual and, in a team, able to lead, prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and provide or make sound decisions in emergencies.
• VMware Horizon (nice to have)

Working Environment and Physical Demands Analysis:

• Office environment
• Periods of high volume with tight timelines
• Long periods of stationary position/sitting
• Prolonged periods of repetitive movement (i.e. using a keyboard and mouse)
• Long periods of time in viewing a computer screen
• Multi-tasking may include speaking to customers on a telephone call while looking up information on a computer program.
