Join The Team:
ERCO Worldwide is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Analyst Intern to join our Tax team at our Corporate Headquarters! This role is ideal for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in tax compliance, research, and account analysis. The Tax Analyst Intern will assist with indirect and income tax compliance, conduct tax research, and analyze tax accounts.
The Role:
Indirect Tax Filing for all ERCO Entities
- Prepare and file indirect tax returns for all ERCO entities.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all filings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for tax filings.
Income Tax Compliance
- Assist in the preparation and filing of income tax returns.
- Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accurate reporting.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting income tax compliance.
- Support the tax team in responding to tax audits and inquiries.
Tax Research
- Conduct research on various tax issues and provide recommendations.
- Analyze tax legislation and its impact on the organization.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on research findings.
- Assist in developing tax strategies to optimize tax positions.
Tax Account Analysis
- Analyze and reconcile tax accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Identify discrepancies and work with the finance team to resolve them.
- Monitor tax payments and ensure timely remittance.
- Provide support in the preparation of tax provision calculations.
The Person:
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program for Finance, Business or a related field that has a co-op requirement and should be able to work an 8-month or 12-month term.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
