What You'll Be Doing:
• Lead records through their lifecycle, from creation to disposition, ensuring accuracy, quality control, and compliance with retention schedules.
• Develop, implement, and maintain records management policies and procedures while keeping system manuals up to date.
• Deliver inspiring training programs, empowering teams with the knowledge to thrive in records management, FOIP, and disaster recovery.
• Drive the development of corporate-wide electronic records management systems, bringing innovation and efficiency to the organization.
• Manage complex FOIP and privacy requests, showcasing your analytical skills and expertise in legislative compliance.
• Support collaborative projects that contribute to the Town’s success.
Qualifications That Set You Apart:
• Certified Records Manager (CRM) designation or Information Access and Protection of Privacy (IAPP) certificate. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
• Minimum two years of experience in implementing and operating records management systems, preferably in municipal government, including training cohorts.
• Direct experience with FOIP, and access/privacy legislation, , as well as knowledge of the Municipal Government Act (MGA).
• Expertise in file classification systems, retention schedules, archives, and information governance concepts.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Professional, and Records Information Management (RIM) software.
• Strong organizational, research, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
