Your main responsibilities 

  • Actively participate, as part of multidisciplinary teams, in building inspection studies and projects to observe structural disorders or problems related to other disciplines;
  • Familiarize yourself with field tasks, recognizing health and safety issues and the different roles of professionals in the operations center;
    Assist our professionals and participate in field tasks (technical appraisals, various building tests, start-up meetings, bidder visits, etc.);
  • Provide work supervision assistance and collaborate with the supervision team.
  • Participate in efforts to coordinate field and laboratory work, where applicable;
  • Participate in the drafting of service offers;
    Assist our professionals in researching and applying applicable codes and standards;
  • Take part in the drafting of various inspection reports, expert reports or technical specifications, taking into account the work carried out in the field, the customer's request and the rules of the art in building science (overall understanding of the mandate);
  • Carry out financial monitoring of projects under his/her responsibility;
  • Manage assigned projects and ensure quality of service, schedule, budget and customer relations.

Profile required

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or building engineering with a structural or building science profile.
  • Registered as an engineer with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
    At least three (3) years' experience on relevant projects or with a consulting engineering firm (building repair and inspection).
  • Autonomy, pragmatism, good communication skills and adaptability
    Leadership, ability to work as part of a team and a strong sense of customer service
  • Fluency in spoken and written French
  • Security clearance may be required
